What do safe, inclusive & sustainable food and beverage experiences look like to you?

It’s so important to take into consideration people’s allergies and dietary restrictions when planning any event or even just a dinner party. Have options that let everyone enjoy such as a signature mocktail as well as a cocktail. That also means having something other than a salad for vegetarians and vegans!

Do you have an example of a situation that negatively effected you and/or other individuals or groups’ food and beverage experience?

There have been a few food blogger conferences I’ve been at that asked about dietary requirements/allergies and then had nothing for the vegans to eat. Or worse nothing for people who were gf and vegan. It makes people feel left out, incurs additional expense to then go get food. Now I carry Laura bars in all my bags just in case.

What do you wish people knew about what you do?

I create food that everyone can eat and it still tastes good. I’m actually working on a new cookbook about oil-free sauce to spice up veggies, grains, and beans. It’s important to know that a medical diagnosis
