Spring Brings an Allergy-free Vegetable Celebration

May is Food Allergy Action month, an awareness campaign by FARE that helps to shine a spotlight on the seriousness of food allergies and to improve public understanding of this potentially life-threatening medical condition. And Spring is the perfect time of year to have a vegetable celebration. With fresh and vibrant farm-fresh vegetables popping up everywhere, it’s the perfect opportunity to create delicious menus that liven up any meal and provide options everyone can enjoy.

With 15 million Americans affected by food allergies and anaphylaxis, chances are good that someone in your family or circle of friends faces this all too real challenge. Learn to prepare delicious foods that will appeal to everyone, and are also free of the top 8 allergens – wheat, egg, milk, shellfish, fish, tree nuts, peanuts and soy. (note: coconut will be used)

    • Spring Vegetable Crudités with Spring Pea Hummus
    • Very Veggie Chicken Vegetable Soup
    • Avocado & Lemon Zest Risotto
    • Meringue Nests with Strawberries and Lemon Coconut Cream
    • Ginger Kombucha Cocktails
